01 — The problem
The walls in this Bath home felt cold to the touch and mould was developing on them through the winter. The affected walls were the south-facing ones.
02 — What we did
We prepared the walls, applied AeroCork internal cork insulation, then plastered over the top to a smooth finish ready for decoration.
03 — The result
The internal wall surface is warmer than the bare wall was, which reduces the conditions that encourage surface condensation and mould. It isn't a guarantee that mould will never return — how the room is heated and ventilated still matters — but the room was handed back flat, clean and ready to decorate.
