The person behind DSB
DSB Plastering & Wall Insulation is run by Daniel “Dan” Bunce from Bath. We work for homeowners in Trowbridge, and when you get in touch, you deal directly with Dan — from the first look at the job through to the work itself.
We plaster rooms being refurbished, make good after alterations and sort out tired ceilings, Artex and damaged surfaces. Dan can also assess a cold external wall if it needs more than a new plaster finish.
Send photos and your postcode so Dan can see what needs doing. If a visit is needed before pricing it, he’ll tell you. You’ll get a clear written quote, and we cover up and keep the dust down while working in your home.
Plastering
Plastering Services in Trowbridge
Renovating a kitchen, bathroom or whole room? We prepare walls and ceilings for the next stage, making good damaged areas and finishing surfaces flat and ready to decorate. Tell Dan what other work is planned so the plastering fits around it.
- Skimming walls and ceilings; plasterboarding and overboarding
- Making good after room, kitchen or bathroom work
- Artex covering and tired ceiling repairs
- Repairs after a leak has been fixed and the area has dried; breathable finishes where appropriate
Wall insulation
Internal Wall Insulation in Trowbridge
When a room has a cold external wall or bay, Dan can look at whether internal wall insulation belongs in the refurbishment before the new plaster finish goes on.
Depending on the wall and the space available, insulated plasterboard or a thinner cork-based system might be suitable. The wall’s condition, any water ingress, heating and ventilation matter too; insulation is not a promised cure for condensation or mould.
Cork insulation
A thinner option for cold walls
A thinner internal cork system can be considered where space matters or a suitable wall needs a breathable approach; Dan will assess the existing surface first.
It is applied directly to a suitable wall and plastered over, leaving a surface ready to decorate. Dan will check the wall first rather than assume one system fits every room.

Why choose DSB
Plastering and Wall Insulation by One Local Team
If you are planning a room refurbishment, having the plastering and any suitable internal insulation handled by one team helps plan the wall and finished surface together. Dan will tell you what the existing surfaces actually need.
Dan is your point of contact, not a call centre. He looks at the surfaces before recommending a finish — particularly on older or solid walls, where a standard skim is not always the right answer. You get the proposed work and price in writing, and we protect the room while we work.
